MP - Intermediate Single-Handed Sailing Camp (Ages 9-16)

With a focus on developing confidence for sailing alone students will learn to rig and sail the one-person 8’ Sabot sailboat.
Building on the basics students will learn the finer points of boat handling and sail theory. Other topics can include weather, rules of the road, and some navigation. Bring layered clothing appropriate for the season, a bathing suit, a change of clothes, a towel, hat, sunscreen, water, and a snack each day. 
Next class:  Repeat to build your sabot sailing skills or move on to Introduction to Racing on the 14’RS Quest dinghy.

Requirements: Age 9-16 and able to swim 50 yards. Successful completion of at least 3-weeks of Marina Park Sailing or Sailing & Paddling Camp and recommendation of the instructor, or equivalent experience sailing a small dinghy.
