MP Youth Sailing & Paddling Camp (Age 6-8)

Campers will learn to sail as a group in the 16’ RS Venture, accompanied by an instructor.  When not sailing, campers will have fun together exploring the harbor in kayaks.  On land, campers will enjoy a game and craft-inspired curriculum. Instructors will teach about the marine environment, the parts of the boat, finding wind direction, learning to steer with the tiller, and fundamental seamanship skills. Campers will also become familiar with water safety and gain confidence around boats.  Bring layered clothing appropriate for the season, a bathing suit, a change of clothes, a towel, hat, sunscreen, water, and a snack each day. 

• Requirements: Age 6-8 and able to swim 50 yards.  No boating experience necessary.
