MP Introduction to Keelboat Sailing for Teens (Ages 13-17)

Sailing on our 16’ RS Venture or 22’ J/22, teens will learn basic concepts of sailing including parts of the boat, terminology, rules of the road, water safety and knots. Instructors will work with campers to develop safe sailing skills and confidence on the water, with the goal to have students sailing comfortably on their own. Bring layered clothing appropriate for the season, a change of clothes, a towel, hat, sunscreen, water, and a snack each day. This is also a great class for students with some sailing experience moving from dinghies to keelboats.
  • Requirements: Age 13-17 and able to swim 50 yards.  No sailing experience necessary.
