RFPNW - Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch Assessments

Through the use of classroom presentation discussing the Rules of the Road, proper ship handling procedures, and the Bridge Simulator, candidates will demonstrate the specific practical assessment skills below that are needed for a Rating Forming Part of A Navigational Watch (RFPNW) with no restrictions. The purpose of this session is for the completion of specific RFPNW assessments only. You must obtain your seatime separately.
The following RFPNW assessments will be satisfied by successful completion of this course:

• NVIC 06-14(Ch-3) Tasks 1.1.A, 1.1.B, 1.1.C, 1.2.A, 1.2.B, 1.2.C, 1.2.D, 1.2.E, 1.2.F, 1.2.G, 1.2.H, 1.2.I, 1.3.A, 1.3.B, 2.1.A, 2.1.B, 2.1.C, 3.1.A, 3.2.A, 3.3.A, 3.3.B, 3.4.A, 3.4.B, 3.5.A, 3.5.B. 

Important Note: NVIC 06-14 Tasks 3.6.A and 3.6.B ARE NOT INCLUDED in this course. Tasks 3.6.A and 3.6.B must be completed separately on board your ship by a qualified assessor. You cannot obtain the RFPNW Rating until these are completed. Please refer to the USCG NVIC 06-14 for more details.
