Prerequisite: Open to children 6 – 13 years old participating with an adult at least 18 years old. All students must be able to swim 50 yards.
A fun class for families to spend time together unplugged and enjoying the outdoors, sharing the adventure of learning to sail. You and your child will work as a team to rig and sail the boat on the calm waters of Newport Bay. You will learn how a sailboat works, basic sailing terminology, parts of the boat and knot tying. Children must attend class with a parent or guardian.
What to bring: Layered clothing appropriate for the season, a change of clothes, a towel, hat and a snack each day.
