MP - Beginning Dinghy Sailing

Learn to sail on beautiful Newport Harbor in this introduction to sailing class designed for those with little or no sailing experience.  Through classroom instruction and on-the-water practice you will learn the fundamentals of how to rig and safely sail a small boat.  The class is also a great refresher for those who have not sailed recently. Sailing a 14’ dinghy you will learn: boating safety, knots, rigging, sailing theory, boat handling, docking, sail trim and capsize recovery. 

• Requirements: No prior experience needed. Must be able to swim 50 yards. Need sufficient agility to move about safely in the boat.
