Taught aboard the 40-foot express cruiser Aquilla IV this course is a practical introduction to operating a single engine 40-foot powerboat with a bow thruster. The focus is on building skills and techniques in docking, tight quarters maneuvering, and picking up a mooring. Other topics include electrical and fuel systems, safety equipment, and use of electronics including Radar, course plotter, and VHF radio. This hands-on course is limited to four persons. At least half of class time is spent underway. Min 2 / Max 4
