How to Use Modern Electronics for Communication & Navigation

An informational evening for anyone using modern electronics for navigation and communication at sea to help you understand the benefits and drawbacks of such systems, so you may use them wisely. You will learn about basic operation, and the strength and weaknesses, of the instruments you might have onboard your boat including radar, GPS/chart plotter, auto pilot,SSB, VHF, AIS, EPIRB and more. Students are welcome to bring their own GPS units.  One session/Min 6 students. Completion of Coastal Navigation 1 recommended
