It's a 16 hour fun packed course providing you with skills and knowledge to drive a powerboat safely. Course topics include: safety checks, proper set-up and preventative maintenance, maneuvering at low and high speed, towing, coming along side, buoy slalom in forward and reverse, anchoring, crew overboard and lots more. We also cover weather and tides, right of way rules, navigation, safety tips and boating laws in the classroom.

Successful completion of the Youth Power Boat Training course will qualify students for the California Boater Card.  A California Boater Card will be required by all power vessel operators under 20 years of age starting on Jan 1, 2018. For more information visit www.californiaboatercard.com.
