The OCC Waterfront Campus has partnered with Practical Navigator to offer Coast Guard–approved online license preparation courses for students pursuing either a 100-ton Master or OUPV (6-Pack) captain’s license. Courses are self-paced with optional live Q&A sessions with the instructor. Students register and pay for their in-person exam date at the OCC Waterfront Campus, then receive a coupon code to enroll in the online course with Practical Navigator. This USCG-approved program replaces testing at a Coast Guard Regional Exam Center. Upon successful completion, mariners qualify for near-coastal or inland commercial captain’s licenses up to 100 gross registered tons.
