Prerequisite: Age 7-8 in 2026 and able to swim 50 yards.
Mini-Mariners is an introductory, hands-on class for our younger campers. With a focus on making kids comfortable in and around boats participants will sail in small groups with the instructor on the Lido14 dinghy. Mini-Mariners will learn about the marine environment, the parts of the boat, how to steer using a tiller, and basic seamanship skills. Fun activities and games will ensure everyone is having fun while learning to sail.

Sailing is a great teacher of life skills and students will learn teamwork, problem-solving, science and technology, and much more along the way. Our certified sailing instructors will help your young sailor build their sailing skills and gain confidence on the water while having fun and enjoying the outdoors.
Safety: All children participating in sailing camp must pass a swim check which will be held on the first day of each session. Each child will swim approx. 20 yards and tread water for 2 minutes – lifejackets may be worn during the swim check.

Course fee includes an OCC Summer Sailing Camp T-shirt. One shirt per camper.
Gear & Stuff: We recommend students bring a jacket, hat, change of clothes, towel, sunscreen, and a daily snack.
*Camps during the week of June 29 are 4-day sessions at $288-Mini-Mariners and $236-Level 1 through 5.
